I already have a new one in 17 Mach2.That thing is majestic. Please don’t. Save up and buy a new one if you want a pristine example.
I have shot it. The bore is pristine. Value means nothing. As I stated , it will never leave. Is this an heirloom that you shoot?
If it is never going to leave the family and it will enhance its useability, I say fine go ahead. Just restore it to the way it was when new. All those saying don't touch it need to go to Turnbull's website and look at the works of restoration art they create. Afterall, if you bought a classic sports car that needed work, I doubt anybody here would say "don't touch it". It would get restored and repainted as needed and loved afterwards.
25wcfWhat caliber? I can't read the stamp.
A restoration by Turnbull would cost a bomb, but it would look like new.
A refinish would look like a refinish.
