My Glock 30, is 15 yrs old and I would like to get the slide refinished, along with a new rear site. "I just put the 2nd front trijicon site on less than a year ago". I read someware that Glock does this for a very reasonable price, along with a full lower inspection and replacement of worn parts ,springs, etc.
Can anyone verify this. I just want to freshen it up. It has holster wear on it from carrying, and I think the old girl should see the armorer to get a full tune up. Thanks for any info,

refinish a glock ?

i always thought of glocks as drop forged weapons , you drop and forget them.

Only thing I've had to do to my Glock over the last 15 years is put ammo in it. :)

Just kidding.

Had to do new recoil spring after about 8 years. First one got worn out. (Gun shot kind of like this - "BOOM{pause}CLUNK"). New spring and it was back to good-as-new. 50k rounds over it's life, and it's doing fine.

I would accept the wear as a badge of honor. It gives your gun character. If you've had it 15 years your chances of reselling it are slim, right? Thing probably feels more a part of you than anything else you touch. I mean, if you plan on keeping it, why "pretty it up?"

Glock sends their slides out for refinishing. You'll see mixed reviews about the quality of the refinishing. I personally wouldn't send one of my Glocks back just for new springs, etc. I'd just buy them from Lonewolf and install them myself.
