I did the searches and found some info, but I need more. I am looking for what is consistently reliable ammo for the Desert Eagle (Mark XIX) in .44 magnum. So far, this is what I have gathered:

Reliable:

Magtech 240 grain JHP's
Magtech 240 grain JSP's
Prvi Partisan 240 grain JHP's
Prvi Partisan 240 grain JSP's

Unreliable:

Fiochi 240 grain JSP's

I think these are reliable:

Fiochi 200 grain JHP's
Fiochi 200 grain JSP's

Unsure, but dying to find out:

Georgia Arms 240 grain JHP's
GA 200 grain varieties
anything else.

Can you help me add to the list and or improve it?

Like so many pistols you just need to try some and find out. You might want to contact DE, ask about what you should not shot?? See if they have different recoil springs for lighter or heavier loads. You might find ,if it loads in the mag in can be tried. Just because one DE runs fine that the next might not with the same ammo.

Might ask at any DE forums too.

MRI posted on their site which ammo they recommend, but it is not inclusive enough. For example, they did not mention the Magtechs, but I know they work. I have heard the Prvi Partisans work as well, but again they are not mentioned.

I just bought a .44 DE and have been doing the reliable/unreliable test as well for it. most factory ammo does not have enough power to cycle mine, so I am not hand loading some rounds for it. Hopefully they'll do the trick.

I bought my .44 Desert Eagle in 1993 and the only ammo I use is handloads. I've never had any failures with 180, 200 and 240 gr bullets. There must be something different from the Mk VII and the XIX series.
