Reload at the range?

I, personally, haven't reloaded at the range, but I've seen it.
This guy had holes drilled into the tailgate of his truck.
He mounted the press using those holes.
He'd fire a coupla rounds & then adjust the powder charge & try again.

It seemed odd to me at the time.
But thinking about it afterwards it made sense.
 
Never done it but seen others do it. Makes sense if you live a long way from the range and need to work up some loads.


What are you looking for? Accuracy?, without a ransom rest it will be subjective.
I don't agree at all. You bench test your handguns just like your rifles. Your results are as good as your technique.
