I am loading for the Ruger Blackhawk in 30 Carbine Revolver. I have somehow trimmed some cases (about 10 each) to anywhere from 1.263 to 1.275 when I wanted and trimmed most of them to 1.280. When I load these 10 rounds with W-296. should I load them at 14.8 grains instead of 15 grains? I ask this because the case is shorter than most I have trimmed at 1.280 and I don't want too much pressure even though the Ruger Blackhawk is built like a tank and can probably handle 15 gr. even in a shorter case. Thanks all who know and can advise me to either trash the short casings or load them with less grains than 15 grains while keeping the OAL of the finished cartridge or maybe it won't make a difference.
