I am new to reloading and have been looking for a way to keep track of my reloading data and supplies. Many like notebooks and that is good. I have worked in databases since before dBaseIII was around, so I kind of like the electronic route. I do a lot of stuff in MS Access but I don't want to lug my laptop to the workbench (don't have room for it anyway) but I use my android tablet a lot when reloading looking at YouTube videos or looking up load data but have not (until now) been able to find a program I can adapt to reloading. Then I happened up of SailForms Pro (Android only for now). It is a little pricey for apps at around $20.00 but I thought I would give it a try.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the flexibility of this little database app. I have a couple of screen shots to share and can provide more if asked. I am building a database for my firearm collection and one of the great parts of this app is that I can add pictures as a field. So I can have all the data about a particular firearm including a quality picture of it all in the database. It can be secured with a password and have data exported to a cvs file as well as full data backup and restore if the Zombies attack.

I have separate files for each reloading component:

This is the summary page of the reloading data:

And this is what an individual record looks like:

Not pushing this app...don't have any interest in if you buy it or not...I understand that many do not like electronic data storage...don't intend this thread to be a polling place for reloading record keeping...just sharing something I found useful.

I'll be glad to provide follow-up info or additional screen shots if you have a question.

I've been looking for one that is ipad friendly. Nothing yet has been worth a crap and I've purchased two @3$ ea. seems like it would be easier than it is. Maybe there's a crossover data logging app that can be used for our application?

I have used an Excel spread-sheet I set up in Windows for years now.

It's cross-platform with Apple Numbers on the iPad Air.

I send it to the iPad in email to keep current when changes are made.

25 other tabs / spreadsheets on it contain lots of other info on individual calibers, and other stuff I want on easily on hand.

PS: Sorry the scree-shot is so big it blew the whole thread out of the water!
I Hate when that happens! :banghead:

I use Google Docs spreadsheet on my google drive so it's always available on any device; ipad, iphone and computer.

I don't like putting information like that on devices that aren't protected by the 4th amendment. Anything stored in "the cloud" doesn't require a warrant to riffle through and companies can do what they please with it (usually hidden somewhere in a EULA). Just not the same thing as a hard drive physically located in your dwelling under your control, but that's just my way of looking at it. There's tons o'people whom have snapped pictures of their hoard of guns and ammo with a cellphone and posted them onto the Internet. What many of them have failed to realize through ignorance was that the GPS was enabled and tagging each photo with EXIF data to their exact location. Just something to think about.

Blue68f100 - You're correct MyGunDB is great.

I'd never heard of it til I saw your post - thanks.
This is a perfect program for me.
I'll be paying for it as I swap guns & have way more than 10 to enter.

It even allows pics of your guns & has a bought/sold page.
I like it very much.
