hey guys,

anybody reloading for the new Ruger PC9 yet?
just got one this week and shot some groups at 50-60 yards with some 115 gr Brown Bear, steel case and some S&B 115 gr. and some MEN 124 gr yesterday which all shot well enough (the MEN having the slight edge)
just wondering if anyone has suggestions or experience with reloads for this rifle.
thanks, Bob

Mine has eaten every reload I've put in it. I've yet to find one that shoots over 2" groups at 50 yards. Make sure you read the manual and adjust the barrel nut.

Currently using RMR 124 JHP MPR over 5.0gr of BE86 @ 1.20. Very accurate out to 50 yards.

FWIW mine hasn't had a factory round through it yet.

question:

"@1.20"
isn't that longer than the max oal of 1.169 for the 9mm?
just askin'

i've tried to plunk test my PC9 carbine. got a max length of 1.195 with a Berry's 124gr. HBRN-TP.

still newb at the reloading bench, so thanks for your patience.
thanks, bob

I don't have a PC9 so can't comment on that gun specifically, but I have a 16" AR in 9mm, and the best bullet I have found for it is the RMR 115 fmj. Muzzle velocity is 1500fps, and it stays supersonic out to 75 yards. I have tried loads up to 1600fps but the groups opened up, 1500fps was the accuracy node for that rifle.

Sorry, that should read 1.12 (I can't seem to edit that now, darn it).
This recipe came from the Alliant site and is in the 2018 Alliant reloads guide.
