One thing you also may wanna try in your load development is to vary the OAL in addition to to the powder charge. I have found that OAL affects accuracy in these low capacity high pressure cases. I think the best approach is to start with the minimum powder charge/maximum OAL, then shorten the OAL in .010" increments. If that does not produce the best accuracy, restore the OAL to maximum again, and up the powder charge and do over. Many of these bullets give you alot of flexibility in terms of OAL and most new pistols will feed reloably no matter what OAL you use, even as short as empty cases. While the 40 gives you prolly only .030" to play with, it is worthwhile to try.
