Ok I recently made a trade for a like new Lee Loadmaster with extra shell carriers and a few extra tools heads. however since that deal was made and that loader is infact on the way. I choose to order a Dillon xl650 since thats the setup I use at my inlaws. And the Dillon Arrived today and is setup case feeder and all for .45acp . I planned on getting extra setups for the dillon for .40 S&W and for .223 however i need to load .308 as well. On the .308 it will be for my H&K91 and Rem700 Police Sniper Rifle. I planned buying a single stage for the .308. However should I make use out of the loadmaster? Here is questions and options:
1. I could resell the loadmaster once it gets in and just get rid of it.
2. Whats the reliability and accuracy if I used it turret style for the .308 rounds compared to loading on a single stage if i was loading 1 round at a time? It looks to be pretty beefy of a machine. If I did this I could take off the case feed bullet feed ect. and try to runs like a regular turret press.
3. I Could set it up for a dedicated progressive caliber like for .223 or .40 and get a single stage for the .308
I am pretty particular about the .308 rounds for the rem 700 P coming out as perfect as possible for accuracy purposes.
I have loaded on lees before but no the loadmaster the single stage challenger and lee1000 which felt pretty cheap but I have to admit I never had a issue with it.
Lets hear opinions...
