Any contracters here that can tell me how much a 12x36 foot footing and pad would cost to install? I'll build the rest..

Way too many variables. Do you live in cold country? If so you must dig your footing below the frost line. Do you need to have any dirt work done to level the site? Need to bring in fill? Suggest you hit the yellow pages and take at least three bids. Throw out the high and the low ones.

Just to give you a ball park. In my area (warm country with no frost line) on a leveled site, a four inch slab with six inch footings runs about four dollars a square foot. Your mileage WILL vary.

Good luck.

Hey, I'm interested in this too - when I relocate Bogie's Bunker to some land out of the city, I'm considering getting something on the order of one of those prefab steel buildings, putting it on a pad, and using it to house some machine tools (this _is_ on topic, moderators - real hard to chamber barrels yourself unless you wanna have a big ol' lathe in your living room...) and other impedimentia of the shooting sports...

I'm in a colder climate - St. Louis, Missouri - Just how much _does_ a garage from hell cost to put in? I'm leaning closer to 20x30 or even larger.

Anyone do this? How'd it go?

We put in a 16x24 cement pad for a carport a while back (under my deck). The cement cost was under $400. We did the work ourselves (get lots of friends over, and realize they may not be friends afterwords).

I'm here in Michigan, so frost line it is. Otherwise it should be an eazy installl..
