I will be in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge TN area in a couple of weeks and was wondering if there were any good places to buy reloading supplies while I was there?
I know there is a Bass Pro but that place is useless.
Thanks for any help.

Wideners is about 100 miles from Sevierville give or take. Plan on at least an hour and a half or more.

I see you're located in N.C., if you swing off I-26 just a short ways you can get so-so buys at Rex's Guns and ammo in Hendersonville. he's as reasonable as Natchez factoring in delivery, for powder and primers more so.

That is my normal shopping place but its getting to where I hate going in there anymore. If I am gonna lay down some serious coin (which I have at that place) I would at least like to be treated like a human.
Other than the elder Mr. Jones the others act like they could not care less if you went some place else to buy.

I live just west of Hendersonville and do most of my business at Rex's, don't really care what the sales clerks act like, I ain't there to make friends with those turkeys. I used to buy most of my components at the Blue Ridge Sports store on 176 but haven't for years, they may have improved their stock by now.

If you want to see a real ass, check Morrison's Gun Shop just south of the I-26 cross over near the Biltmore Shopping Center, on 191.

Franklin's Sports is on Haywood Rd. in west A'ville, they used to carry a pretty good stock.

There is a Grady's Sports in north Anderson, SC, on the main drag, think it's 123. They carry a wide range of stuff for a smallish store.

Best of all, I really like the Sportsman's Warehouse in north Columbia, just off I-26. Acceptable prices, excellant stock.

Bass Pro has a store on I-40 north of Seiverville but the last time I was there they had little in the reloading department. Still, if you are in the area...

This it "OT" but-----since you will be in Sevierville TN. you might want to visit the Lodge store. If you use cast iron cookware this is a great place to buy it and at a very reasonable price. Lodge is the only manufacture of Cast Iron Cookware in the USA.

I don't necessarly want to be friends with them but I do like to be treated like they appreaciate my business.

I stopped by Morrison's about a month or two ago while I was passing thru Ashville but he was closed. I will have to check out Franklin's.

I think Bass Pro has about gotten out of the reloading business.

Thanks for the leads.

PP - don't know exactly what you are seeking but, I live in Charlotte and I order from Widener's - they are great people with which to do business! They go out of the way to provide good service, ship promptly and allow you to combine powder and primers for one hazmat charge.

If I were going to be anywhere closeby, I would certainly visit them but you should check their retail hours before going. Their website is great and is pretty much in real time as to the quantities shown.

With the price of gas, that $20 hazmat charge looks more attractive than it did once.

Anyway, good luck and have a safe trip.

Rex's is much better than Morrison's, better selection and cheaper too. I haven't chatted w/anyone there just ask couple ques, Mr. Jones is a friendly sort for sure. Morrison's right much a dick IMO. he even looks like one.
last I stopped at Franklin's he didn't have much of anything, about 6 weeks back.
