I just lost the bid for $90+ on a well used 19" bead sighted, VR 2 3/4" remchoked barrel for my Magnum 1100. Sooooo I called Cabelas and ordered a 21" rifle sighted rem choked 12ga 2 3/4 barrel (Remington made) for $159. My questions are: could I have bought cheaper? Why are there no 3" RS barrels for 1100's? Will the Rem choke come with an imp. cyl tube ore all three? Does the rifled rem choke tube work for the sabot slugs? I don't have a rifled barrel for my 870s or 1100s , never saw the need and it limits the buck shot interchange , but I guess I should have one barrel (or tube) to shoot sabots.:)

From the top....

1, Cabelas's has good prices.

2, Ask Remington. Might not be much of a market.

3, Some RS barrels from Remington have 2 tubes, a rifled one and IC.

4, Maybe. Only bench testing will tell.

Sabots are optional. I've little need for them myself.

HTH....

Just a little follow up on this post. Got the Cabela supplied 1100Rem RS remchoked barrel. It does come with rifled and IC tubes! Yay that saves me $30 or so, also comes with choke wrench. The Rifle sights are better than earlier ones nice visable white dot , snugs into rear sight well. Preliminary tests indicate the sights to be clise to standard slug impact at 30 yards! I haven't fired enough to fine dial in yet , but hit a coffee can at 100' or so with 3 out of 5 Remington slugs with IC choke! Forget bidding on used barrels on ebay for $100 plus, this package was $159 and a good deal IMHO. :D
