I've had both a Savage 10fp tactical and 700 sps tactical. Had better luck with the Remington reliability wise. Accuracy was about the same.

Had problems with the accutrigger being locked up when closing the bolt. Had to be extra gentle with the bolt or you could not pull the trigger.

That is from too light a trigger adjustment...as per the operating manual...if you go too light on the pull weight and or side load the trigger itself, the safety (Accusafety) will engage.

We have a lot of this phenomenon occur around here, people just want that trigger as light as they can get it. Why, I have no idea....well; I do have an idea but....

BTW...go stupid light on a Remington trigger, and the same thing will happen when you close the bolt, sneeze, bump the gun....BUT without the benefit of the sear blocking Accusafety lever to save your bacon!

Trip a overly light Remington trigger and .....BOOM!

I would say 700, as not a fan of the accutrigger. The accutrigger is one thing you love or you hate, me, I hated it. If you reload, both will be more accurate than most shooters. I really like the Tikka guns also, great shooters IMO. I get 1/4" groups at 100 w/ factory ammo, better with handloads.
