I am thinking if getting a Remington 7600 in either 30-06 or 308. Do any of you know if the slide throw is the same between the two, or does the 308 have a shorter throw due to shorter case. Thanks

All the 7600's are built on the same frame. On the Remington's pump action I promise you won't notice an extra 1/4" of action length.

Now the remington 7615 is built on a shorter frame, but it's only avilible in .223/5.56NATO

Thank you both very much for the info. I don't know why, but I just can't warm up to any bolt action I have ever owned, so I thought I would give the 7600 a try. Thanks again.

I have one and love it, Works well for normal deer hunting. I have the thought in the back of my head that several fast 180gr bullets can solve all my problems in the woods;)
