Calling all Rem. 7600 owners!!!

I just got one of the 7600 police trade ins from J&G Sales and the gun will not feed at all. I'm fairly sure that the magazine is the culprit and think it is possibly an aftermarket mag. Sooooo..... Anybody here got a 7600 with a factory mag? I need to know what markings if any are on the mag body. Mine says 308 Win inside a rectangle on the right side. No Remington or other manufacturers marks of any kind. Also does anyone have an aftermarket mag marked like this? Thanks in advance!!!!!

Wow!!! No one here had one huh!!! Well, I called Remington and they advised that it was definately not the mag that came with the rifle. J&G said they would swap mags at no charge other than a little shipping hassle and the customer service was top notch so I give them points for that.

I'm getting that eerie feeling like I'm talking to myself!!!!

IIRC a Remington mag would say 243-7mm08-308 or somesuch.

Mags for the 742 can be picky. They are basicly the same except for the bolt release. If the nose of the bullet is too low they won't feed.
