Gee, you coulda had a M4 + TLR for that much.
Your right, but I did not want to build up a M-4, I wanted to build up a shotgun for my own specific reasons. Someday I may build up a M-4.

It looks really nice and all. Sounds like you are really proud. You MUST get some rounds through it to see if it fits you and works for you efficiently. Practice makes perfect. I would be curious to see how it stacks up against a 18 or 20" plain jane 870 with a plain wood stock in the hands of someone who knows how to use it.
More than likely other than a little smoother trigger and action plus killer Ghost Ring Sights they will probably be the same over all on paper or in a defence situation.

The money I spent did not necessarily make it more effective, it just made it nice to feel and look at. I spent the money because I wanted to and for no other reason. The one thing I do like is the ceramic based coating, it's a lot better than the factory Remington glass beaded metal with the matt blued finish.

They smoothed out the original trigger group as part of the package.

Bill, not to be a killjoy but........the $1600+ that this shotgun cost you did not get you the $70 Remington metal trigger group as found on the Police and Wingmaster models?????

I'd have a problem with a plastic trigger group on a $1600 plus shotgun that was reworked professionally.

That's a good lookin' set up. What model did you build on, express?
Yes it started out as an 870 Tactical Camo Stock Express. I could not find an 870 anywhere locally when I decided to build this shotgun so I was just looking for any 870 that was new or used to send in to NightHawk or Wlison Comabat.

Both NightHawk and Wilson Combat said they could not get any new Rem 870 quickly causing there to be a long wait time for one of there shotgun builds. Both Companys were comparable in price and said if I could find or had a Rem 870 of my own to send them there would be about four week turn around on comparable shotgun build packages. I happen to find it in a small hole in the wall gun shop so I grabbed it up and sent it off.

The rest is history...

Both Wilson Combat and NightHawk recommened the polymer trigger guard on this paticular build so I went with there sugestions right or wrong. What the heck my glocks hold up and work great. I know some will have a diffrent opinion on this sugestion from both companys..

Nice looking gun.
If you've got the money, spend it.

I on the other hand do not, so...
I eventually plan to do a similar set up with the Pardner Protector I just got today.
Knoxx SpecOps, Max100's +2 extension, jury is still out on a type of light, and possibly ghost rail sights.
All for about $1,100 less, including the gun.

But very nice set up.
The same yes, but not really. The bottom line is any good dependable shotgun will do the job well. Just because I spent a grip of money on this set up does not mean it will do any better job on the BG than when it was just a plain old 870 express Tactical shotgun.

The forend light set up is all I would have put on it if I had decided to leave it a plain Rem 870 home deffence gun.
