He designed his doomsday wheelbarrow to carry his gear in. Saw on Preppers tonight a VERY similar concept they call the 'Solo Trecker.'
Though a LOT of people thought Gunkid was a few bricks short, looks like he was on to something.

p.s. this is the FIRST, and LAST time I will watch it. Guy and his two kids go to the desert to shoot. NONE of them wears glasses. The father also SHOT HIMSELF in the thumb.

The OP is referring to an infamous internet character called "gunkid", who might also be the even more infamous "gecko.45". This character(s) was well known on several forums for writing numerous hillarious diatribles describing his ridiculous "mall ninja"-esque gear, scenarios and tactics.
One of his more popular babblings, er, I mean "pieces of contemporary satirical prose", was about his personal invention, the "tactical wheelbarrow", kind of a mobile bug-out-bag/load bearing vest thingy.
The OP's other referrence appears to be to the National Geographic channel's TV series called "Doomsday Preppers".

huh???

GunKid was a famous/infamous poster on most of the gun sites for years. His SHTF plan was to take his .22, load up a modified wheelbarrow, make it to the Mississippi river, and hug the coast along South America shooting ANYTHING, or anyone, that got in his way. BATF busted him for selling homemade silencers and he is doing Fed Time.
He was a REAL offbeat character and most of us thought he was just acting crazy for attention. Turns out he wasn't fooling around.

If you're referring to an episode of NatGeo's Doomsday Preppers series, nothing I've heard from that particular quarter has anything to do with ST&T... and even less so, any kind of wheelbarrow.

The USMC still flirts with the "machine gun cart" from time to time as a way to carry heavy gear in tough terrain... and other similar ideas have been explored over the decades as well by the various services. I don't know of any who currently issue such modes of transport however, but I could be wrong. On the off chance someone might have something useful to add on the topic, I'll leave this one here for a bit, but it's on a slippery slope already so keep it serious from here on or else...

The Few, the Brave...

I like fatty mago floating in the background. Looks like he was edited in.

Edit: I also did not know you could reload with diet coke.

On a very serious note howe is one to transport guns and ammo without the help if a mechanical device and how would that device work/look?

"gecko.45" was a deliberate troll of the gun forums by a fella who at least at the time worked for coal creek armory .

"Gunkid" ( john melvin davis )on the other hand was a felon who has been in and out of trouble for a long time .

Both are worth a google just for the comic value .

Very optimistic ;)

I have seen this guy posting elsewhere----nowadays. :uhoh: I could invite him, I suppose. :) He might even zoom in on the mention of his names, thru google. PLEASE DELETE THREAD.

Gunkid was released from prison a year or so ago, and promptly returned to the forums in full form.

Then he disappeared as suddenly has he had reappeared.

I suspect word of his postings made it back to whoever was responsible for his supervised release.

Look up OCD in the dictionary, and a pic of Gunkid should be right there.

I transport my guns in my car.
To the range.

If I lose my car, or my range, I probably won't transport my guns.

I use the Fold-It cart to transport my gear from my car to the firing line... at the range.
Get the model that has the solid tires. Only a fool would get the inflatable tires.

Fits easily in the trunk of any sedan, and with tons of room left over for the rest of your stuff.
