Remington 105 CTi

What is the general consensus on this shotgun? It has been out for a while but I have seen only 1 in use on the range. And despite several trips back to the factory, it continues to have periodic trouble cycling 1 oz factory loads. Even though the 1187s in use by my friends cycle even my 7/8 oz loads with no problem, this one CTi refuses. Did he just get a lemon? I'd like to think so since they are sure soft shooters and look pretty good.

Remington says it won't shoot the 1oz shells....

I have seen a couple at our club and was very unimpressed. Poorly fitted and not great functioning.

At the price point I think the Beretta 391 and the Browning Gold are better options.

I understand that you are just quoting the Owner's Manual, but that statement is inconsistent or in conflict with itself. If it's a 2 3/4", 2 3/4 dram, 1 1/8 ounce load, then it would NOT have a muzzle velocity of 1290 fps. It would have a muzzle velocity of about 1145 fps. A load of 1 1/8 ounce at 1290 fps is ABOUT a 3 1/2 dram load.

Precisely!!! That's about what I've seen it takes to get these to cycle reliably, notice that it says less than 1290fps... A guy at our club bought one and still has it...It seems to be a great hunting gun just not a clays gun yet....

I love the concept of using cf and Ti on a gun. I'm sure it's not a new idea, but i like it too much! I had read an ad about those a while back, and i thought the fit looked good, but they aren't going to choose any basket-case example to do the photo shoots.
