Okay, i have a 12ga Remington 11-87 SPS "Super Magnum" and i need some info, hopefully someone on these forums can help me out with some stuff:

I need to know if i am doing something wrong, or its supposed to be this way....

First, okay i tried to load some shells in the magazine tube WITHOUT pulling back the bolt and loading one shell first, the bolt was forward or closed and the hammer was not pulled back or set, so if u poull the trigger nothing would happen....so i tried by pushing up on the carrier release button, but i could not put any shells in the magazine tube.i did not want to force the shells in the tube it seemed way too tight.....it seemed weird.....

so i tried the way they told me how to load it in the manual, by pulling back on the bolt handle, put a shell in the receiver, and push the carrier release button, so the bolt goes forward and chambers a round.....than i pushed up on the carrier release button and i was able to load shells in the magazine tube...they went in really nice and easy....

i just figured that i would be able to load shells in the tube, even though i did not cock the shotgun because i did not want to have a shell in the chamber.....is this the way it is supposed to be by design????
