I recently inherited a Remington 521T bolt action, magazine fed, 22 rifle. It was not taken very good care of, but after much cleaning and lubricating I took it to the range today. I like this weapon!... very accurate, easy to shoot.
The only issue I had was that the magazine does not feed reliably. What it does is feed the round at too steep an angle so that the front of the bullet does not go into the chamber, but hits the top of the chamber. Does not happen every time, but once or so every mag use.
Any advice to help me with this issue? Is there a way to adjust or modify the magazine or are there other mags available?
I am planning on scoping this rifle and using it for targets, squirrels and rabbits.
Thanks,
John
