Remington 700 PSS - Customizations Help

How does it shoot now? I have a bone-stock 700VS (same gun as the PSS, in a standard stock.) that, on a good day, will put 3 Federal Gold Medal Match into .11" from a 100yds, prone. The only thing I've put on mine is a 'scope, cheek pad, sling and bipod.

1. Trigger? only if you just want it.

2. Bolt handle? the same.

3. Bottom metal? Stay away from the detachable mags. The last Long Range Instructor School I taught at, the guy with the detachable mag had serious trouble getting his mags to stay in the gun!

4. Extractor? I wouldn't (but that's just me) the stock one works fine.

5. Thread the muzzle? The gun weighs 11 pounds or so, no need for a compensator.

Your money will be better spent on a few cases of whatever ammo it likes best and just shoot it. Federal, Remington or Hornaday 168gr Match ammo, try some of each and see which one your gun shoots best.
