Remington 700 - something...

    Got a great deal (trade) on a beautiful Rem 700. I have no idea what model it is though. Checked the Rem website and couldn't see where this one fit in. I've included some photos so maybe some of you sharp cookies out there can tell me which model of 700 this is. It's got a 26" bull barrel, hinged floor plate, laminated stock w/the black forend. Caliber is 223. Thanks...

    Looks like an early model 700 VLS. I usd to own one myself in .223. Was really quite a shooter after I free floated the barrel. Later the VLS went to a wide forend with no checkering.
