Bout time I do one of these last July I purchased a Rem 700 SPS Tac AAC-SD a Blackhawk 20 MOA Base and a NC Star 6-24x50 Mil Dot scope have been shooting it on and off throughout the summer and fall and finally got around to actually developing hand loads for the rifle

Got a Chrono for Christmas and was able to truly develop a load here are my best two

Those are nice groups, but my question would be, "where is the info on the load you developed such as components, velocity, Std Deviation, Extreme Spread and so on?" Also, were those fired prone or from a bench, and how were the environmental conditions...butt cold with howling winds, or a nice sunny day with still air?

Enquiring minds want to know!

I have considered purchasing one of these rifles, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Mine shot a 1/2 MOA group with the hornady zombie ammo (don't judge me it was the cheapest match grade ammo I could find) Its a really nice rifle for the money IMO.

THIS LOAD IS SAFE IN MY RIFLE PLEASE WORK UP

Average Velocity 2706fps 10' from muzzle
Extreme Spread 41.79
Standard Deviation 14.96

very nice groupings! Unfortuantely i dont reload yet but i can consistently shoot sub MOA with Australian surplus .308 ammo so i imagine the possiblity for a .5moa rifle is definately there with some quality loads

Btw, this is way too nice of a rig for a crappy Chinese NC Star scope, id recommend upgrading that scope ASAP!

Seems like that cheap scope is working so far by the look of those pictures. Good looking package. Thanks for sharing your results.

my 700 is FINISHED!

Here she is. I am done with mods, upgrades, whatever. detachabled 5 round magazine plus one spare was the last. It's raining today or else I'd take her out for a re-zero. Started as a plain jane 700 SPS just like yours. Love this rifle.

Herk, why did you decide on the hook stock vs. the m40 or other... I'm looking hard at the B&C M40 (#1000) stock. Just wondering what pushed you in that direction?

I didn't want the hook specifically, but did want the B&C medalist. I also wanted the freedom green pattern to distinguish it a bit. At the time everyone was going with a desert tan pattern. The stock was a perfect drop in and the M4 detachable magazine from stockys fit well also. I have found that the hook is actually really nice for resting on my clenched fist and supporting the front end with the bipod.

Here is my best group before the magazine upgrade. 1/4 MOA at 100 yards with cheapo 308. She is consistently shooting MOA out to 500 yards if i do my part. BTW, she wears the original X-mark trigger.
