Remington 700 Stock Selection

Not by much IMO. Buy once, cry once. No point in wasting money on a stock that simply doesn't lend itself well to your purpose.

Skylerbone, are there other wooden stocks that you feel are better? I love the look, just not sure about the accuracy as they are not bedded. It seems like pillar bedding is pretty straight forward and a good first step. Decisions, Decisions.

$200 + $130 = $330. Find some of the picture threads or look around at bench style target rifles. The above will get you a laminate if you prefer the look and a BDL conversion for $30 more than your proposed budget for an ADL stock.

Honestly, for 100 yd. work I would encourage you to consider having a finished package to shoot and enjoy then save for a stock. With the exception of close outs, Stockys sale prices are year round. I have bought from them and am pleased with their service and products (not affiliated). You could always call and discuss your needs with them.

"Man they look good too. Have you needed to bed any of them?"

No, they shoot good enough for me, I'm happy with the accuracy, all were drop in fits.
$99.00+shipping and all arrived in 3 days of ordering. Just drop your barreled action in and tighten screws.

Thanks everyone. I have some thinking to do. I appreciate all of your advice.

Trigger has been pulled. I was debating between the Choate USS, Choate Varmint and Boyd's.

Was just doing my price/review/spec check for the millionth time and the stock for SA ADL's is starting to go out of stock. I went with the USS in olive green. Can't wait to mount my barrel and nikon scope on it!!!

Darn... That's right, I need rings!!
