Remington 7600 and 870 stocks...

I know that the 7600 is built on the 870 platform, but are the stocks and for-ends interchangeable?

The 20ga 870 buttstocks will fit a 7600-7400, The forends for obvious reason will not.

So a 20 gauge/youth butt will fit a 7600, but only a dedicated 7600 for-end will fit?

Yes, the shotgun forends have a provision for the magazine tube the rifle ones do not.

The 870 butt stock will fit the 7600, but there is much more drop at the heel on a shotgun stock than a rifle stock. Your face might not touch the stock when looking through a scope. I tried it about a year ago.
