I posted a question about a week and a half ago regarding this but I have some amplifying information that may make it easier to understand.
I have a Remington 799 "mini-mauser" in .22-250. When I attempt to load the magazine (hinged floorplate) I cannot get the follower to push down. Now, when I push down and slightly forward with just my thumb, it works, but with a round, the back of the follower will not push down resulting in the follower tilting forward.
I have put a light polish with a dremel tool on the back of the follower and magazine cavity with no luck.
If there are any mauser 98 experts out there please chime in. Your help is appreciated.
