Hi everyone. As requested in [thread=403313]this thread[/thread] here is a quick range report of my new LTR in .308. Scope is Leupold VXIII 2.5-8X36 in leupold mounts.

This pic shows the rifle next to my ruger RSI in .308. You can see how short the remington is. The LTR weighs more and has a much heavier barrel. It feels top and forward heavy which isnt a problem. I love the stock. It shoots like a pussycat compared to the ruger - but you still know that you're shooting .308. Everything on the rifle is black including the bolt. I need a sling for this rifle - any suggestions ?

I only had 3 varieties of factory hunting ammo on hand which were shot using a rest at a 50m indoor range. Left targets = Highland AX 150gr, middle targets = Winchester Super X 150gr and right targets = Federal Premium Tactical 130gr.

It seemed to group best with Highland ammo which is the cheapest. The 130gr Federal grouped well but shot a bit lower. I forgot to put a scale in the photos but it was shooting about 1MOA. Anyway I was really happy with the groups and the comfort of shooting this rifle. The scope is awesome but i still need to do a little fiddling to get the zero just right. My calculations showed that 3.5cm high at 50m should give me a zero of 200m and a MPBR of 250m. I want to see how it does with match ammo and at longer distances. Im going to start reloading for .308 so hopefully I will get some really good groups in the future. Very happy with the rifle so far. Highly recommended.
