I have a Remington 700 LTR with the factory stock with a too short LOP. What is the best aftermarket entender that could be added to this stock to accomplish what an H-P Precision Tactical stock with adjustable LOP does? I don't need an "adjustable" LOP...just something to add to the butt to increase that of this factory stock's LOP.

I'm 6'3" with long arms. Not used to having my face right up next to the action. Maybe it will work out best the way it is. I have a Leupold Tactical scope mounted on it and it just may be the right length for it.

I'm 6-5 and wear 36" sleeves. I haven't had any problems with the standard stock, prone or in other positions. (I recognize that that may not be much help...except maybe an encouragement to work on it a bit...) BTW, mine is exceptionally accurate - sub .5" @100 yds with 168 gr Fed GCM and a very non-tactical Leupold 1.75-6x.

Thanks, JNewell. I guess I just need to get used to it. And thanks for the info on ammo. I have no idea what ammo to use. Been away from CF rifles too long.

AW, you'll never really be sure of how good your rifle is unless you shoot finely crafted handloads in it. There are probably more good recipes for .308 Win out there than for any other caliber for pinpoint "tactical" accuracy. If you just refuse to make the initial investment in reloading gear, then Black Hills match and Federal Gold Medal match ammo is well-regarded. I'd start with 168gr bullets, and it's likely you'll stay there.

Thanks, Hutch! I have several friends who are into reloading. I prefer more time outside. I have too many things that could keep me in the basement already...and too many guns that are collecting dust...metaphorically, of course. ;-)
