Hi everyone
I have a Remington Model 81 in okay condition, in 300 Savage. It seems to function properly, except for the magazine. When you compress the magazine spring by adding rounds to the magazine the spring does not push back against the round in the magazine, and they are therefore not picked up by the bolt. My guess is that the Magazine spring is bad and needs replaced, however I have had difficulty locating a replacement Magazine spring for it. Is there any way to fix the old spring so it works, or to make my own spring?
