my remington rand has no military markings. the slide reads remington rand inc. syracuse, n.y. u.s.a.. the frame is aluminum or magnasum and the serial number reads no.0073. the demonstration/presentation pistol whitch i found on web i think is the pistol. i need another opinion.

You have a "mix and match" parts gun; it is a Remington Rand slide on an aftermarket frame NOT of Remington Rand manufacture (the serial number is wrong). Lots of guns have been built with GI parts on Essex or other non-military frames.
