Does anybody have any experience with the Remington/Spartan SPR 210 and 220 side-by-side shotguns?
I understand they are both Russian Baikals, the 210 with a single trigger and the 220 with a double. The 210 is available in a better looking nickel finish but the trigger looks somewhat cheap.
Anybody fired both and can share his experience?
Impact Guns has the 220 for $280 - any other good sources known?

I have the 220 with external hammers that I use for Cowboy Action Shooting. Built like a tank, but points well and didn't need to be slicked up. (However, I hear that the internal cocker version needs some work.)

Dove and Quail, Hare and Rabbit - maybe Ducks and Geese?
Not to forget the occasional evil clay pidgeon.

Wonder how the 'selectable' single trigger works?

Thanks

Goose loads? Ouch. Make sure to buy some aftermarket choke tubes.

I'd be inclined to get the simpler 2-trigger version. They're durable guns (with questionable choke tubes). The SST raises the price a good amount, and makes the gun a tad less of a good deal IMHO.

I'm not sure that the gun is the best choice for all those purposes, but it will throw shot towards the target. Pattern it so you know where it is really impacting; sometimes the bead has to be moved on Baikal O/U shotguns.

Big 5 has the things, sometimes, for cheap.

Do you have other shotguns?

A Mossberg 500, but I never really liked the pump action.
Two shots out of a side-by-side is all I need.

Don't know why doubles do not seem attractive to me, there is just something about a side-by-side.

What 'internal' work is recommended on the 220?

Thanks, guys.
