I’m looking for input from anyone who has experience with the Remington V3. This gun shoulders well for me and the price is hard to beat. I’ll be using this gun 100% for waterfowl hunting. Any input on this gun would be much appreciated!

I do not own a V3. I like them and they fit me well. The reason I don’t have one is I made a vow I wouldn’t purchase a another shotgun until I sold at least one that I currently own, and I can’t decide which one to get rid of. I currently own eleven which is a lot more than I need.

I’d buy a V3 with no hesitation.

They appear to be an excellent design that is performing well in the field and finding favor with many shooters. I have shot them and they fit me well, recoil is low, and they worked. I do not need another shotgun and I am getting closer to my lifetime goal of dying without ever owning a station wagon with wood grain on it, a minivan of any ilk, and an aluminum receivered shotgun.

The Rem V3 was on my short list last fall, I was waffling between the Wood and Synthetic. BUT I got a super deal on the last Beretta Silver Pigeon at Sportsman's Warehouse. The Beretta started at $2200, went to $1900, then to $1600--- I shoot Trap, Skeet, and Sporting and always wanted an Over Under. So not enough money for both. Besides I already have 2 Rem 1100's, one in 12 Ga., and one in 20 Ga.

I have put quite a few rounds though the V3, my nephews each own one. They are a great field guns. With target and moderate field loads the recoil is very mild and they carry great. They are a bit light for the heavy 3-inch loads making recoil stout but still manageable. For the price they are a solid performing semi-auto shotgun.

I do not own one, but am on another forum devoted totally to shotguns where several members do use them for waterfowling, and love them. If I still hunted waterfowl today (gave up shortly after steel shot became mandatory), it would be with a V3 or a VersaMax. But I have been a fan of Big Green since buying an 870 at 18.

Dang, I'm 3 for 3 there; A Chrysler K wagon, several minivans, and about 30 years ago, a Noble Model 80 .410 auto.

Used one on geese twice last Fall - a.plain black synthetic. Highly recommend. Durable, apparently stand up to a good deal of abuse, swing pretty well despite that, and seem well designed. Fit me well and the Italian guns tend to suit me better than the Brownings. Were I in the market for a waterfowl gun or a do-all gasser, it would.probably be top of the list.
