removing castle nut on Colt 6920?

I am trying to remove the castle nut on a 6920, and it appears staked in place. I have a spanner wrench, but cant get it to budge. Any ideas?

Thats why I chose a MI single point sling mount, it just slides on and clamps.
LOL I didn't want to deal with that staked castle nut. IMO, thats one milspec item we really could do without. Maybe use red thread lock instead.

Yea, if it is staked I hate to break the stakes to modify the gun so I guess I will need to get a clamp on as well.

Works great with a Gear sector single point sling with a Gear Sector HK adapter.

The MI mount is thick so it deosn't allow the Colt stock to lock into the closed notch. But the other 4 stock positions lock in fine. I only use the closest one for storage anyway.
