I have a CZ bolt action carbine in 7.62x39, with a damaged stock. I'd like to replace it w a full length Mannlicher style, without the exorbitant cost of a custom stock. What shop do people recommend?

Boyds doesn't do w Mannlicher style for a CZ. Richards Microfit will, but recent customer reviews are not good. US Gun Inletting will, but I can't find any reviews of them. I also have message into Fajen + Bishop, but haven't heard back.

Here are their websites:

No. Looking for shooter recommendations on the quality of shop work. Note that one of the biggest vendors, Richards Microfit, was recommended years ago, but a change of hands has led to recent flurry of negative reports. Is this accurate?

The other vendor, US Gun Inletting, doesn't have any reviews posted on the popular gun sites (like this one). Does anyone have any experience with them?

I think the problem guys have with Richards is they expect there stock are drop in, some fun people can barely use there fun properly let alone do some basic stock work.

How was the stock damaged, crack at the tang in guessing.

The reports on Richards have some quality control and ordering issues; barrel channels not straight, a right hand stock given when a left was ordered, etc. People say the price reflects this. I'd like to find a more reliable option.

I got a deal on my CZ because the stock has two fairly large chips, in the tang, where you guessed.
