In this thread we will share available places to purchase replacement parts. Feel free to share what you know about.

I'm set on my Glocks but am currently on the hunt for AR parts, specifically "field repair" type kits. But from what I've been finding online they seem kind of bare.

What I'm looking for is like a complete lower build kit with also upper parts, mainly BCG parts. Does anyone sell like a complete package of parts or am I stuck buying individual pieces?

Any advice on this and any other essential parts folks might be looking for right now would be great.

Don't be shy to share links...

If anybody knows where I can get a few extra 30 Rem AR extractors I'd happily give them a finders fee.

"30 Remington AR"? Looking up the round it is based off the 450 Bushmaster which makes me think a 450 extractor should work.

"30 Remington" is a different, older cartridge. If you have an AR chambered in that, I can see where you would have trouble finding parts.

As far as AR replacement parts, there are a few things I like to keep on hand for mine. More for I was swapping something out and launched a pin, detent, or spring into the black hole of parts. Midway has a few different kits of easy to lose parts, the crucial stuff for $10. Considering most of the springs in that kit cost about $2 minus shipping, you save your self money compared to buying and waiting one part at a time when you lose something. As far as parts that could potentially wear out or break in a high round AR. Spare firing pin, bolt, and barrel. Add in all the little parts to have as spares and you can build another rifle or two. And that is how ARs reproduce. You have a spring as a spare and it grows to a new rifle.

Common misconception is that a 450 BM extractor will work. The 30 Rem AR has a larger case head than the 450BM does and it was done that way to keep people from making brass from 450 cases and using 450bm bolts.

If anyone runs accross CZ-70 trigger springs, been looking for a few years. Had to spin one up by hand to get my CZ running, but I'd rather find a few replacements when someone drags them out of a warehouse someplace.

Sarco is still out there, and Apex will surprise on occasion. I like Apex. Good service.

Try these guys.

There is of course Numrich but the way they do their website it is all wonky . I normally have a friend that will find stuff in there that I cannot not. You just can't type what you want you have to go through several links.

I've used a few different parts kits brands, I really like the CMMG LPK's and if you are looking for a really good mil spec trigger, the PSA EPT trigger is one of my favorites. I have heard people say mixed things about them but mine is great.

WHOA there partner!!! I just looked at PSA's BCG. Their standard 5.56 BCG went from $69 to $179!!!!???? What a bummer, should have bought a few just to have a couple extra. That's more than what BCM was getting for theirs, now I'm afraid to check BCM's site to see what theirs are at the moment.

Brownell’s and MidwayUSA haven’t mentioned, probably because they are obvious choices. I know Brownell’s has lower parts kits in stock right now.

I went over to Aims Surplus and bought theirs. It was $119 or $129. I haven't shot with it yet. Seems to be of good quality.

Yeah, there was an AIM BCG lingering over at my LGS f-o-r-e-v-e-r for $125 and every time I went in and noticed it I put it on the list for my next trip since it never seemed to go anywhere, went over specifically to pick it up along with some other stuff and it was gone. I have heard they're good quality BCG. I got a couple Geissele BCG's when they went on sale for $110 maximum of 2 per household.

I think with the demise of some of the big Milsurp parts guys like Springfield Sporters and SOG the demand for parts has gone way up. Does seem like there's a lot of gun parts for sale on epay and elsewhere. The asking prices are often flat insane and shipping costs/taxes can be prohibitive. GB and direct "smaller" sellers are also raising prices as supplies dwindle. The cost of restoration on many items may approach a point where the item itself is worth more to part out than its restored valued.

It's across the board, everything has gone way, way up. I see it everywhere. Today is a perfect example, I went into the building supply right near my house to pick up some contractor bags, its been a while since I last bought a box but the box of 20/ 42gal bags was always $16 and on sale sometimes, went in today......$29.99

My eyes just about fell out of my head.
