I have had my 700 ADL in .30-06 for about a year now and it has been great. Stainless barrel and synthetic stock make for a light weight all weather combo that is sub MOA capable. It is a mid 90s model and the stock is not very rigid. Some might call it "Tupperware". I am not a huge fan of synthetic stocks and prefer a nice wood stock. I'm looking into getting a wood stock for this rifle, but am not sure exactly what I want. I have looked at Boyds and Stockys at their laminated stocks, which look good and are affordable, but seem pretty heavy. Most stocks i see are for the BDL model and I cant justify spending another $90 or so on bottom metal. I don't want to spend several hundred dollars for a fancy piece of walnut as this is a hunting gun. I'm looking to spend around $100 on a stock, give or take a little. Any options I haven't considered?
