Ive got the straight grip stock on my browning, and the more i use it the more i find that i dislike it. Perhaps ive spent far to much time with standard sporter griped rifles, but pistol grip, and straight grips both just dont feel right to me on a long gun.
Supposedly the only difference in the stocks for these types of brownings is supposed to be the trigger guard length, at least from my research thats what Ive read. Im pretty well versed in rifles, but I dont shotgun enough to have a good idea what fits where, so im at the mercy of what i can glean from the internets.
Anyway, Ive tried buying used stocks off ebay twice, and so far neither was close to the correct contour of the receiver.
So the question do any of you know if the Uplands have a difference in receiver shape, or am i just buying the wrong stocks?
If im buying the wrong stocks, can someone give me a more detailed description of the correct stock to buy?
I already have the short trigger guard from my first attempt lol.

straight grips seem better when u have double triggers so your hand can slide back for the next shot and is nice when hunting when u have to swing your body so much.try it hold your gun and swing right to left with a loose grip with the trigger hand it will slide back and go foreword when u swing the other way. new guns with one trigger are better with a pistol grip. but for me it makes the gun tilt some when u swing hard for game. did u try calling browning they may help u out or send the cnc sheet to another maker. maybe find a place with a stock duplicator can make u one?. hope u get it the way u want it i like those browning shotguns way above my price range. ill stick with my sxs and hammered guns lol and blackpowder to

I talked to MGW, were happy to sell me a replacement stock. But couldnt/wouldnt tell me what used stock to look for. I got the "it should work, as long as you have the right replacement guard" answer.
I'm not willing to spend 400 bucks on a stock. I shoot the gun ok, and really only shoot 100rnds a year at most so it's not a huge issue.

I wish Boyd's made a stock set.

I never liked a straight no pistol grip shotgun stock either. Arts Gun shop may be able to help. He is Mr everything Browning and has a bunch of browning youtube videos. email or call him he knows all things browning. Ask for a take off stock he may just have one, he does a bunch of refinishing etc!

Bull

i like the straight grips when hunting if u have to swing real hard. it lets your hand slide easier

Try Art's in MO or Boyd's; unless you want to go the total custom route, then call S&S in Montana.

Art's is the place to go. The family that owns the shop consists of a bunch of craftsmen, and they are experts with Brownings. It helps that they are nice people, too, and they take the time to walk you through a purchase.
