I've got 300 200 grain Rainer FMJ .45 ACP rounds I need to load up. On hand, I've got some H110, Unique, and (lots of) Bullseye.
Lots of load information on the 230 grain Rainer plated bullets, but not so much the 200 grain.
Has anyone worked up a solid load for .45, 200 grain plated LeadSafe Rainers, with Bullseye powder? Or perhaps H110? I'm shooting a full sized M&P.
Thanks for the help, guys. I've learned my lesson, sticking to buying 230 grain bullets from now on!

5.0 to 5.2 Grs of Bullseye will give you a nice light plinker load. (Not super light) I shoot a lot of 200 Gr plated in .45 ACP. I like that weight.

Here are a couple of loads that may help.

I've run Rainier 230gr at 5.2 to 5.6 grains of Unique. You should be able to use those loads for a lighter bullet. I'd start at maybe 4.9 grains and work up.

The 5.2gr produced an average of 801 fps; the 5.6 produced 828 fps. That's at an OAL of 1.265.

I have also shot the 200gr Rainier but only with W231. A load of 5.7gr produced 772 fps for me. Not sure if that's useful for your situation but there it is for what it's worth.

Of course, YMMV.

I don't really consider 'plated' bullets the same as FMJ bullets. That aside I've loaded them for 3 different 45s with 5.1 grns of Titegroup & 6.1 grns of H Universal. These loads cycled fine & won't be Kaboomin any guns. Nothing wrong with 200 grn bullets in a 45 auto.

Thanks for the help, guys.
RCModel, I own three or four books, none of them had info on plated 200 grain loads, that's why I asked.

I have loaded a couple thousand of those Rainier 200 gr RN's.
6.9 grains of Unique is my go to load...chronos at 925 fps out of my 5" barrel.
5.9 grains of Bullseye also works very well and chronos at 910 fps.
