Ok so brought home a little 38 today with out the thumb piece for the cylinder ejector, numrich seems to be calling them ejector (thumb piece) I'm wondering what other names for this part are so I can find one, it looks like most would work on it. Thanks

The name of the ejector rod nut varies by manufacturer. Ejector rod head. ejector rod thumb peice and numerous others.
Just ensure they know it screws on the end of the ejector rod to eject empties from a revolver.

My crystal ball is on the blink today due to stormy weather.
If you told use what brand of gun it is, we could tell you what it is called on the factory parts list.

Without that little bit of information, it's hard to say what it is called by the manufacture.

And are you talking about the front end of an ejector rod you push on?
Or the thumb piece & nut on the side of the frame that you push or pull to open the cylinder?

the little thing you push forward to release the cylinder is what trying to name

rc its a rg model 40

Colt = Latch - Cylinder.
S&W = Thumb piece & thumb piece nut.
Ruger = Cylinder release button.

There are more depending on the brand of gun.

lol rc its a rg model 40 i guess i edited that post too fast up there last time sorry for the confusion

Hey, my RG40 came without the cylinder release as well...

Who is taking all the RG .38spl revolvers and fiendishly removing the cylinder release? Its just cruel I tells ya!

FYI, You can pull forward on the ejector rod to release the cylinder untill you do manage to find a replacement. I fabricated a few replacement cylinder release buttons myself by hand, including a really nice aluminum one, but now the hole on the cylinder retaining pin they are supposed to screw into is stripped out, so I'll have to order a new one of those before I can have a cylinder release again. Oh well, such is the curse of working with an RG revolver!

Working with an RG revolver is easy and simple. Lift the lid, drop the gun in, put the lid back on and wait for the trash collector.

Oh man! I wish I would have known that that's what I should have done with my RG after paying $30 for it, putting a few hundred rounds through it, and enjoying many good days at the range out-shooting my friend and his Sig P229 with it...

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

amen
I tell ya what man it may not be the best quality gun it will be a fine plinker
aparently for complimenting your gun I got an infraction so that leads me to believe the system/auto censor/whatever does not care for your gun,SO ON THAT NOTE, It is a worthless pile of garbage sell it now.

just don't want another infraction for using an adjective

just jerkin systems chain, I see what was being said and Have removed said adjective from my post
