I am a fan of Taurus revolvers and they don't enjoy much aftermarket support for wood grips. As such, I wondered if anyone knew of a good resource to get grip frame shapes and dimensions of various manufacturer's revolvers to help determine of another brand's grips would work or could be modified to work. Thanks for any help with this.

Dallas,

Taurus small frames are fairly close to a S&W J Frame, that being said it would need a bit of modification and depending on the style of grip might not work.

We will be reintroducing Ajax grips for Taurus in Mid May or so if you can wait that long.

Raleigh,
Thanks for the response. I have seen some of the Ajax grips around the web. Do you offer anything for the Tracker frame or a rounded grip for a square butt medium frame? I have a 617 and 445 that are both compact, Tracker frames and a 441 that is medium sq butt that I would like to carry concealed. I wanted to get info on the frames to see if I could modify existing wood grips made for say, S&W.

Update: I didn't realize you guys were local. I did some searches after reading this and realized that Ajax has been off the map for a while. Are you guys coming back? I hope so because I really like the lone star medallion featured in many of your grips and would like to be sporting that on many of my guns. I am mostly a revolver guy and have several S&W and Taurus; most of which currently wear Hogue Monogrips which are comfortable but not the best for concealment as I have recently discovered.
