Revolver Modernity Suggest

The words "modern" and "revolver" don't belong in the same sentence. I like revolvers too, but let's face it, they're historical artifacts.
Physics hasn't changed since creation. A 50 year old revolver will still launch a bullet just as well as any new plastic-fantastic will.

This is only slightly larger than an LC9, and roughly the same as a SR40c , and punches harder than either one:

thoughts??? so modern and COOL too

feel free to give your honest options

I love mine. I took it out for a nice walk last night. Probably do it again here shortly. What I ran into was not having enough real estate for all my fingers/thumbs. It took a lot of ammo to figure out where to put my thumb so the cylinder release didn't dig into it enough that I needed a band aid before I left the range. But that's part of the fun.

As a previous poster wrote though, you'll probably use .38 most of the time. I have found this to be true. Mine is currently loaded with .38 +Ps. Not for recoil or blast but because I haven't convinced myself to smack the extractor hard enough to eject .357 Magnum length cases reliably. When I can, I do drills where I shoot, engage multiple targets, reload, and shoot some more. I do carry a .357 Magnum reload though. Fireballs are awesome!

The Ruger LCR is a good gun. I wouldn’t bother with the .38 special version. The .357 magnum is only an ounce or two heavier (unnoticeable) and offers tremendously better stopping power than the low power .38.

Can't help with a suggestion for a modern revolver.

Currently looking at S&W 49s. I have all sorts of pocket pistols and revolvers, but am convincing myself of the need :D for an all-steel revolver for pocket carry. Actually, just looking for an excuse to get one of those old humpbacks and don't want an airweight.

I love excuses!

You know S&W has some revolvers in 10mm, right?
C’mon! 10mm!!

Just be careful because recoil from 10mm is known to rip arms off at the elbow. Really. :D

lol … definitely got a punch! got a 10mm SAA clone! very cool gun

What you want is a Kimber K6S or a Ruger LCR/LCRx.

I don’t know about the concealable .41….. I don’t think I’ve ever seen but one .41 mag in the flesh, and it was a gorgeous S&W N-frame in the presentation box. Great gun but hardly something to CCW.

if it worked 100 years ago… should work today
Do any police departments or militaries still use revolvers? There's your answer.

Sure revolvers work. Just as flintlocks, etc., work. The question really is, are they as efficient and effective as the alternatives?

I will say this in favor of revolvers, though. They will be among the last guns to get banned. So if you want to hedge your bets on a gun confiscation, buy a few revolvers. They'll keep you armed, at least for a time.

6 shots of .357 magnum is all I need! if I need more than that. I’m in trouble.

here what I like about revolvers. don’t jam in coat pocket. And if I was to have a man purse (Seattle, don’t ask) I can shoot from that.

let’s say, I’m fish Downtown Seattle at night. I can have my hands on my gun & shoot thur my coat pocket without anybody batting a eye
