All this revolver talk and hawt pix got me wanting to follow up on my SA revolver wish list - below is my first purchase and I've very satisfied...

Just took her out the range today, Beretta Stampede Marshall in an antique finish...enjoy!

    Ruger Super Blackhawk

This is my ruger super blackhawk, Mag-Na-Port Big 5 safari special collectors model. I bought it at a gun show--most of the other ones that I've seen are unfired in the collectors case and sell for $1200+. I was shopping around for a SA revolver and saw this one, just liked the way it looked and thought I'd buy it. Found out what it was after the fact. Ruger made 200 each of 5 different collectors blackhawks--Lion, Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Elephant, and Leopard.

    One in my meager collection.
    Ruger Blackhawk .357/9mm convertable.
I installed the brass grip frame & made the Oregon Myrtlewood grips.

a mix of old and new

Interesting how basic revolver technology hasn't changed much since the 1850's (better metallurgy and safety systems of course)...
