Pure fun - a 4" 617 x10 with a decent trigger, HiViz #SW617 f.o. front sight, DS-10 speedloader & loading plate, and Ahrends retro target grips:

My turn!

After seeing all these gorgeous wheel-guns in here I almost feel inadequate posting my Taurus 65 with Hogue grips, but here goes anyway. It's been a first-rate revolver thus far and if the zombies ever come in here, the first six through the door are going to HATE it...

I liked that Ivan of cosmolines, My 2 have been reamed to 32 H&R mag and are a lot of fun with handloaded 32 wadcutters and 30 carbine round nose. Most fun for $80 I ever had.

This could well be the most fun revolver I have to shoot. With 4.4 gr of 231 behind a 125g plated, it's about like shooting a .22 and scary accurate.

Ruger Vaquero Montado. Just got it a week ago! Took it to the range today for the first time and it was a dream.

Did that 617 ten-shooter come with a 4" bbl? I tried ordering one and was told 10-rounds was available only with the 6" bbl.
I've even considered sending it back to S&W for a conversion.

Modified S&W 385NG

These are the S&W 386NG and 386PD. The NG has a tritium Big Dot front sight and stainless steel cylinder. The under lug is a bit different from the PD, and the barrel has flat sides, but I see no advantage to either.

I was wondering why the NG doesn’t have the titanium cylinder of the PD. The NG also has the Cylinder & Slide “Extreme Duty” sight without tritium dots, a snag-free design I like. I’ve heard all the argument about the positives and negatives of 3-dot tritium sights. I’ve used them since the early ‘80s and like them just fine. I’ve NEVER seen the errors attributed to them, either by experienced or new shooters.

So I first sent the rear sight back to C&S for installation of the tritium dots. Then I sent the NG back to S&W to have the PD”s titanium cylinder fitted. The Custom Shop rep was dubious about it and said so. I reminded him the gun has the same aluminum/scandium frame as the PD and would be no harder to shoot, and as easy to carry.

So, I have it back, now, with the three-dot tritium sights (Big Dot on the front) and titanium 7-round cylinder. First, I recommend S&W build them that way. Second, if anyone has one in the original configuration, I’d recommend having these same mods done. It makes an “anywhere, anytime” CC gun with seven rounds. With .38 Special +P or Hornady Lever Evolution .357 Magnum ammo it is not at all difficult to control in rapid fire for persons of average strength.

Hi All,
Here are two of my Ruger Speed Six, the closest I have to a grail revolver. She has not disappointed me either. Locks up tight. Does not seem to have been used too much. Ser# puts her at 1980ish. Came with Ruger wood grips and I put the Pac's on for shooting.
