i have an old model 37 that i would like to have the hammer bobbed on and the entire gun redone in some sort of corrosion resistant finish like that black painted on stuff.....or something other than standard bluing...

the gun may need to to be "tightened up a bit", but the timing is very correct.

anyone know who does this and what they charge for this service? also how to get in touch with them....

thanks.

Ford's refinishing in Florida

Hello
I see a previous Poster put Cylinder & Slide as a place to send your revolver for a refinish. I know that Ford's in Florida does all the refinishing work FOR Cylinder & Slide.;) I have used them in the Past and they do flawless work.:p They are a small Mom & Pop Family run Business and do finish work for Desert Eagle & Magnum Research as I am told. I will include a link to there web site, and best time to touch with the Owner Larna is around 9:00 A.M. Eastern time. Here is a sample of there Nickel work, and this revolver was a poorly refinished Bluing job by a previous person who did NOT know what they were doing. It was a MESS as the Previous refinisher buffed the trademark clean off, and Ford's re-applied the trademark and stamped the lettering. They are also one of the ONLY refinisher's I have heard of that gives a FULL One year warranty with ALL there work ,no questions asked should an issue arrise. It wouldnt Hurt to mention you got there web site link from a Guy in Knoxville, Tennessee as the best referral is word of mouth and satisfied customers.;) I have sent MANY people to them in the Past with NO complaints on Quality or Price. I think the Pictures prove how they can turn a doorstop into a Masterpiece. They also have a section showing customer's Re-finished gun's and I like the fact that you can see what you are going to get from them and also read the testimonials from many satisfied customers.. Mine included.Check them out and good luck. Hammerdown

They also do not buff off numbers, round the corner's and have an iron clad one full year warranty on ALL there refinishing work. This just returned Friday, and I am in awe at the level of detail and high quality work they do at Ford's.This is the second one they have done for me, see above K-22 and I wouldn't send mine anywhere else !
