revolver+scope or rifle advice!

I currently shoot at an indoor 25 yd range with a Ruger SRH Alaskan 44 mag. Love the gun and love reloading the 44. I'm looking for an outdoor range that goes beyond 25 yds, should I look into another 44 mag with a scope or get a rifle? I really don't know much about scopes, rifles or long range shooting, I'd appreciate any advice, thanks!

I'd start with a simple Ruger 10/22 rifle, and build from there.

Another good option would be a lever action rifle in 44 mag.
