I wants one . . . .

As someone who has a desire for a 1911 but isn't really into .45 that much, this is just perfect. I just hope Buds gets them in soon. Their ordering system has spoiled me on trying to setup shipping to an FFL with almost any other vendor.

Oh Sweet Mother of God! Why'd you have to show me this? A 9mm RIA Tactical? Oh noes.....my money, my money.....

Ordered mine, Tactical model, on Saturday, should be shipped out today. Can't wait to shoot it, but it'll be a while as I'm on vacation and won't get to pick it up for a couple of weeks.

I don't usually order guns sight unseen, but I've the Armscor (RIA parent company) Para P18 clone widebody 1911 and its one of may favorites, but I want a single stack 9mm 1911 that doesn't cost $800+ (like the offerings from Kimber & Springfield) . Well over 10,000 rounds through it, so I've little doubt these will be great and they will sell well.

FYI, i just stopped in at Bud's Gunshop in Paris, KY and they have 9mm RIA's in stock.
both the Tactical and GI model's

I wonder if they do or will make compacts. Also are they available in other finishes? I could go for a satin nickel tactical.

A full size 9mm 1911 is long, long overdue. What makes this so good is the affordable price, coupled with a great, reliable platform, and great customer service.

And you guys thought you couldn't afford another gun

What I don't get why couldn't they squeeze a few more rounds in that magazine?

Will you be able to swap the barrels on these and also make a 38 super out of it?

Any one know if they use a Colt style barrel or a ramped barrel?

Over at 1911forum.com they say no.

My Tactical from Centerfiresystems was $420 shipped (I ordered from a "free shipping" promotional E-mail). Will cost me another $20 to transfer.

I ordered one from another place on the net. They called every distributor they had and only found one. That distributor had only 6 in stock. Same price as CDNN. It will take some time for me to get it. 3-4 days from the distributor to the company, then another couple of days for them to ship it to my FFL. Still, glad I did...have been waiting for this for a long time.

I have a RIA .45 Tactical that has been flawless and is the most accurate gun I have shot to date (including an accurized Colt). Very pleased.

Wish I knew that Buds had them in. But...there must have been one shipment from the manufacturer and it just happened.

Interesting.

BTW, I was at my local shop and had them call every distributor they had, no joy. Could not find a Taurus 1911 9mm either. And they spent days calling STI to try and order a Spartan. Rediculous.

So....will be quite happy when this arrives...sometime next week.

Thank you to the poster who put up the link for 9mm magazines. Appreciate that.

Best

J

I wish they'd do ramped barrels. Their Armscor 9mm 1911s have them.

Maybe they will. My RIA GI .38 Super has a ramped barrel. My Colt .38 Super does not.
