Just curious if anyone has tried to put a .460 Rowland conversion on a RIA 1911. I hear that some of the Phillipine 1911s have a heat-treat process used on them that is not sufficient to take the beating the .460 dishes out, but I have heard nothing but good things about the RIAs, aside from gun snobbery at spending < $400 on a 1911.
This could be a really accurate, good shooter for around $700 if the gun can take the conversion and not break. I sure would like to have one of those Rock Island Tacticals, and maybe put some adjustable sights on it. That would be just as good a deer gun as any .44 Magnum.
