rifle case opinions

i'm looking at getting a new rifle case for my ar15 and am trying to decide between this

in olive drab for 18.99

i know you get what you pay for, but does anyone have the midway case and is it any good? i have other allen cases and like them, but if the midway is good for 18.99, i'd rather go for that. what are your thoughts on the 2 cases?

Midway has their own brand of case and I purchased one a while back,was in the $50 range as I recall. Had a problem with the zipper Midway made good on it. In my state we have to carry AR 15s in a lockable case I just replaced the nylon rope on the zippers with some steel cable and I'm good to go The first case is the one I bought bu mine is longer as one of my AR has a 24 or 26 inch heavy barrel

The cases are going to be about equal in quality. The added expense with the Allen case is that you're paying a markup for the name. Additionally, Allen must pay a royalty fee to Crye Precision, who own the rights to the MultiCam pattern. That royalty fee is added to the cost of the case.

Rock River Arms makes a blue molded case that perfectly fits just about any configuration of AR. Lockable too. You just have to break down the rifle into its upper and lower halves. These are often available on ebay for very reasonable prices.

I prefer hard case, simply because as mentioned Zippers always get fubared. I always see them for sale on the cheap with bad zippers.

I have 2x hard cases that store 2 guns in each with 3 mags of each gun with scopes. and 2x soft cases one for my wifes shot gun, my marlin 30-30 and 1x semi hard case for another shotgun. picked em up all for $10 at a gerage sale.

hard cases are Win! lol
