I have a Remington .308 SPS and I dont really like the stock at all. So what I was wondering do any of you have any input of possibly a different stock. I kind of want it to be light but I dont want it to flex in the middle like this hunk of junk. My scope setup and rifle itself is very sturdy and reliable, but the stock is horrible. So please help on ideas or pictures or links or anything. Thanks again..

remington 700 stocks are easy... how much you wanna spend?
if you want the best, get a mcmillan. if you want decent but heavy, hs precision. if you want inexpensive laminates, boyds. if you want really cool laminates, accurate innovations.

there is also stuff like richards micro fit, bansner, mpi, and bell & carlson (who makes stocks that run from useless - the stock on your gun now is likely a b&c - to pretty good - the remington ti and lvsf are also b&c's).

the field is wide open on rem 700 stocks... let's start w/ a price range and intended use, and go from there.

I want something light and am willing to pay up to $250.. Also I'm either looking for fiberglass or maybe a high quality synthetic.

find a remington titanium take-off, or a remington lvsf take-off. they'll run $150-ish, and are excellent for the money. start your search on the classified ad forum on www.24hourcampfire.com - probably be the quickest way to start and finish your search.

There are stocks all the time on e-bay. Some of them go for really reasonable prices. Don't jump on the first one. You'll get a new chance weekly. Search "Remington stock" and you'll get dozens or hundreds of hits.
