Good morning everyone,

I just took three rifles and one shotgun on trade for a motorcycle. I have a educated guess as to the value of each, but don't want to get screwed if I sell them. I will be keeping one of the rifles (a Venezuelan FN-49 with matching numbers, 7mm mauser, serial 60XX) but the others don't interest me. Is there a 'blue book' of rifle values?

The guns are-

a 98%+ Browning BT99

Remington 742 in 308 winchester with tasco scope

Thompson Center 54 cal muzzleloader with scope

FN-49 in 7x57

Google each and every one of them. Example the Browning BT99 comes in more than one set-up. Don`t know which one you got in trade but those babies are not cheap. :)

Try any of these:

Sites:
N. FLAYDERMAN & CO., INC.

Book Titles:
Gun Digest Book of Gun Values
Gun Trader's Guide
Blue Book Of Gun Values
Gun Collector's Digest
Standard Catalog Of Firearms

or check with the auction houses, ebay, gun traders etc. to see what their prices are...probably your best bet...Unless you can find an E-Book--Google Book on gun prices...

There are many kinds of T/C .54 muzzleloaders - is it a Hawken or what?

What are the conditions of the T/C and Remington?

For the BT-99, would have to know first:
--Is it 2-barrel set or not?
--Is it stainless steel?
--Is it the "micro"
--Is it "Pigeon Grade"?
--Is it a "Signature Painted"?
--Is it a "Golden Clays"?
--Is it a "Plus, Grade I"?
--Is it a stainless "Plus, Grade I"?
--Is it a plus pigeon grade, grade I?
--Is it a plus signature painted grade I?
--Is it a plus golden clays grade I?
--Is it a "max"?

The T/C is a Hawken. I don't know much about it other than that. It looks just like the traditional cap lock rifles on this page of their site, but in 54 cal http://www.tcarms.com/firearms/mzTraditional.php. It looks to be in good condition. A few marks in the bluing here and there.

The remington is in very good/excellent condition. No marks or wear whatsoever, except at the very end of the muzzle the bluing is worn off.

The BT99 conventional is a single 34" barrel, blue finish, morgan adjustable buttpad, and looks to only have been fired a few times. The exterior is absolutely perfect, and if you open up the chamber there are only a couple marks that indicate to me it has been fired.
